Paper Windows is an acoustic trio based out of Houston, Texas. Our music is hard to specify to a particular genre. Mostly Americana, influenced by folk, pop, rock, red dirt and blues.
John Hammer plays the cajon, which is used often in world and flamenco music, along with occasionally using other percussion instruments. More cowbell!
Jennifer Bosch plays viola and violin adding texture and melody to their songs. Occasionally we con her into singing harmony by promising dark chocolate.
Rob Barreda plays rhythm guitar and does the vocal work for the band although he’s been known to forget lyrics during rehearsals at which time gibberish is heard from the microphone.
And George Cook adds depth to the songs with bass work. Despite not having played since about 1995 or so he’s catching on quick. Unless of course a capo is used on the song and all his math skills go out the window on transposing keys.
