a wasp sting is part of paying your dues I guess

So Paper Windows had another gig last weekend. It’s kinda weird, we could almost be accused of being a gigging band. : ) We had one Saturday and then Wednesday before that. Then a couple of weeks before that. We did a few songs for our church’s Sunday service.

We’ve been pretty busy seems like. Haven’t sold a single CD at any of these gigs but we’re getting our name out there. By the way (shameless plug) if you’d like to download our CD you can find it on iTunes and Amazon.

Anyway, so we played yet another outside gig (we seem to do those a lot) and after we were done we all decided to hang around, listen to our friend Mark’s band, The Gorilla Dance Band and have a couple of beers… especially since Jen’s husband, Ron said he’d buy.

As we were sitting at our table a yellow jacket was buzzing around me.  I got a menu and tried to swat it away but it came around and landed on my back.  I kept swatting at it and then all of a sudden

(in my best Forrest Gump voice) OW!!! Sumthin’ bit me!

Little jerk got me good right on my left shoulder blade.

And that is part of paying your dues my friends.  Here are some pics from said gig.  We played at pretty cool place on Lake Conroe.  The pictures we’re taken by my wonderfully talented, beautiful daughter, Heather.
